In children and adolescents there is a 3.9 percent chance that they will develop ptsd. That means if you pull 100 students about 4 will develop ptsd. That means you have a very good chance that someone you know will develop this. Do you know what ptsd does to people, sometimes it goes away with time but the other times it tears a person apart from the inside by making them relive that trauma on a daily basis. Does it make you want to do something knowing that 3.9 percent of people will turn out like this?

How it relates to me
It relates to me because my cousin was deployed in Iraq as a marine. He was in Iraq for 4 years and before he left he was a very happy energetic 20 year old just living his life, but when he got back he was a very quite person. Everyone in the family worried about him, because it turned his loud funny voice into a soft sad voice and just completely ruined his upbeat mood. This happens to 11% percent of soldiers get ptsd(post traumatic stress disorder), it can effect even the most prepared soldiers. Help spread awareness so that all of our soldiers will be put into the right places to help them. Think of every soldier as your brother, dad, or son, now think of what you would do to help them. Now wouldn't want someone else to help your family member. You can be that someone.

Society
The WWP doesn't only help soldiers they have a branch dedicated to helping victims of violent crimes deal with their pain and recover mentally from the crime committed against them so that they can return to their normal life and encourage people to come forward who feel unsafe and are hurt mentally from these crimes because they try to act normal like nothing is bothering them so they can fit into society this is one of society's biggest flaws.
What this did for me (Reflection)
Researching this blog made me look at our society completely different because people affected by violent crimes can be scarred mentally and do worse things to their self than the crimes did to them.
